Mission is the first neighbourhood that was developed in St. Albert and its central location makes it the heart of the city. In 1860, the first settlement of St. Albert occurred in this area and over time it slowly grew. Many monumental and historical moments occurred in this neighbourhood over the years, making it rich of history and an iconic area of the city. Its central location makes it easily accessible to many amenities and facilities in St. Albert. Mission is adjacent to Riverside, Downtown, Inglewood, and Lacombe Park. It timeless landscape has been a selling point for many years as the mature trees and beautiful location create a picturesque neighbourhood.
