Professional Photography

By | For Homeowners, For Sellers

Sarasota has our very own professional photographer who takes photos of all of our homes- those that we build and also those that we list for sale. You might not think it makes a difference, but trust us- it does! Did we mention that we do this for free when you list with us?

It’s 2018 and almost everything can be done online. Why go to a store when you can see what they have on their website? You are looking for a dress but you don’t want to waste time going to a store before you know what they have. So you look online, the pictures aren’t great and the outfits look frumpy on the models. Would you still go to that store? Probably not! You come across another shop that has amazing photos and the clothes look like they would look good on anyone. Yes! That’s the one you’re going to!

See the difference? Your home needs to be presented the best it can be online because the majority of people looking to buy will check out the website before anything else. They do their homework, so that they have an idea of what they want to see once they contact our realtors. If the photos of your house are eye catching, bright, and beautiful then buyers are more likely to be intrigued to see it in person. Check out some of these professional photos and see for yourself! You want to go see these homes now, don’t you?

Selling Your Home with Professional Photography

By | For Buyers, For Sellers, Home Staging & Interior Design, Lifestyle, New Homes For Sale, Real Estate, Uncategorized

With the Alberta market slowing down economically, 2016 is proving to be a buyers market.  That said, it is ever so important for sellers to select the right real estate company to represent their home and ensure that their house is the one that’s SOLD before the competition.

Web appeal is vital with 80-90% of potential clients reviewing listings online prior to visiting the home. In fact, without an online presence or photos to review, you can bet that your property will virtually go unnoticed by potential buyers. Attention spans are low and competition is high – what are you going to do to make your listing worth looking at?

There are some things that are within your power as a seller – cleaning, decluttering, and working on curb appeal. If you select Sarasota Realty, you can also have your home staged (alongside light touch up work completed) for free in St. Albert – which can take your home from shabby to chic in just a few hours. But a perfectly manicured home needs to be displayed properly to sell – and a professional photographer is what’s needed to do the job. Sarasota Realty also offers this free of charge to all of their clients, to ensure their listings are presented at their best.

did you know…

Professionally taken photos of homes continue to sell for more on average – receiving more attention both online and in showings. This is because a professional photographer understands photo composition, lighting requirements, and editing skills to make sure that the photo perfectly represents the space. They know exactly what to focus on in a picture to grab a buyer’s attention. They not only have the proper equipment (including a tripod at the perfect height), but they know how to use it. Most importantly, a professional photographer can match a buyer’s expectations to what they receive – never over promising or under promising. This in itself will bring in the right group of potential buyers. Chance yourself with a realtor that uses an IPhone or handheld camera for your photos, and you chance having your home sit on the market for longer than it should. This is something that you just can’t risk today.

Let Sarasota Realty showcase your home – professionally accentuating the best of your interior. Our approach generates multiple showings and helps to sell homes in even the toughest of markets.

Fall Projects To Do Now to Sell Your House In The Spring

By | For Sellers, Home Staging & Interior Design, Real Estate

Thinking of Selling In The Spring?

That means you have months to get ready for it. Here are a few tips for getting a jumpstart to putting your home on the market!

Get a Home Inspection

Getting an inspection done prior to starting the process of selling your home will help you prepare for any repairs that need to be addressed.

Have A Go At The Spaces You Don’t Use Often

It might be your basement attic or it might be a spare room that’s turned into a storage space. Donate, sell, or throw away the extra baggage.

Don’t Underestimate That Curb Appeal

From trimming bushes or replacing walkways – knock it off the list so you’re ready to go in the spring. Even a fresh coat of paint on the front door will bring your curb appeal up a notch.

Give Your Floor & Walls A Little Love

Maybe your carpets need replacing – or just a deep, professional clean, your hardwood needs polishing, and your walls need a fresh coat of paint.

Consult a Real Estate Professional or Stager

If you already know you will be selling, consider having your professional photos taken while there are still leaves on the trees. Talk to a stager to see what else can be done to prepare your home to sell.

A Head Start On Packing

Or at the very least, organize what’s already in storage. Pack up your summer-only items to keep them out of the way and store them in an organized space.

Kristin Boser

Our resident stager has a few tips to offer up when you’re getting ready to sell.

  • use accessories and smaller pieces to update your home’s look rather than replacing the large furniture
  • if you have any bold colors popping off the walls, consider repainting them
  • remember you’ll want people to picture themselves in your home – be prepared to stow away a few of your personal touches (specifically, the family photos)
